Jayde DelGado, a Branch Manager at Harborstone Credit Union in Lakewood, Washington, has been named the 2023 CUES Emerge winner. A big congratulations to Jayde — as well as all those who participated in this year's CUES Emerge program. It's a lot of work, but the rewards are off the charts.

Jayde joined us on the show to share his thoughts on winning the competition and how he expects this accolade to boost his career like so many of those before him. In fact, Jayde's boss, Harborstone Credit Union President/CEO Geoff Bullock, won the competition back in 2017.

Also joining us was Currency Founder/CEO Tim McAlpine, who created the Emerge program, along with the team at CUES — which includes CUES Senior Director, Meetings & Digital Events Sara Dyer. Both Tim and Sara shared their behind-the-scenes perspective of this years competitors and an overview of the CUES Emerge program.

In addition, they discussed the winners' prizes. Jayde, for instance, will receive a coaching package from Envision Excellence and he has earned a scholarship to attend CUES Advanced Management Program from Cornell University.

The second and third place competitors (Jana Chamberlin, Instructional Design Manager, Northwest Federal Credit Union, Herndon, Virginia, and Antionette Morton, VP/Accounting & Finance, Educational Systems Federal Credit Union, Greenbelt, Maryland) will receive an educational and coaching package to support continued development and growth within the industry including executive coaching from Envision Excellence. They will also have the opportunity to either attend a CUES eCornell course or receive a 50% scholarship to attend CUES Advanced Management Program from Cornell University.

Another stellar year in the books for the CUES Emerge program. If you're considering participating in 2024's cohort, applications open in January 2024. Stay tuned!
