Amanda Brenneman, Business Development Officer with $460M Maps Credit Union in Salem, Oregon, USA, was named the 2013 CUES Next Top Credit Union Exec
Brenneman’s project about her credit union’s Buy Local program was chosen from a group of five international applicants that had been selected as Finalists by a team of judges in September, 2013. As one of five finalists, Brenneman’s blog and video updates provided the industry with an insight into the project’s progress, and culminated with a final presentation at CUES’ CEO/Executive Team Network™ in San Diego. Brenneman emerged the winner after a four-part scoring process that included a panel of judges, a measurement of their social media engagement, plus audience and online voting.
Brenneman wins a $20,000 educational prize package that includes registration, accommodation and economy airfare to any two CUES’ CEO Institutes—one in 2014 and one in 2015—and two remote coaching session from CUES Supplier member and partner DDJ Myers Ltd. of Phoenix, Ariz., challenge sponsor.

After a rigorous coaching and judging phase, the five finalists for the 2013 CUES Next Top Credit Union Exec challenge were named.

The applicants campaigned, the credit union community voted, the ballots were tabulated and the Top 15 were revealed.
Applicants
In the Spring of 2013, 115 talented young credit union executives from around the world were nominated. This group of 29 from the United States, Canada, Guam and Australia continued on by entering the competition.
