Southeast #4: Trey Gantt

Trey Gantt is a 31-year-old Business Services Officer with South Carolina Federal Credit Union ($1.3B) in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Synopsis: At South Carolina Federal, we introduced a completely new product line for businesses in October 2006. Our product line is full service and dynamic, including commercial lending and custom deposit products. I will draw on my experience in growing our portfolio to advocate for other institutions in the credit union movement to commit to offering full business services. The economy is the prevailing issue in our country today.  Businesses need alternatives for capital and low-fee deposit options.  There has never been more opportunities for credit unions to gain market share by offering commercial lending and deposit products.  Using our successful model as a guide, I will provide insight and motivation for other credit unions, nationwide, to advance their local economies by introducing full service business services.
