Midwest #4: Bill Clancy

Bill Clancy is a 32-year-old Director of Retail Strategy with Lake Michigan Credit Union ($2B) in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Synopsis: “What’s the Big Idea?” is Lake Michigan Credit Union’s new employee suggestion box program.  This web-based program empowers and rewards employees for engaging in value-creating thinking across the organization.  The types of ideas that can be submitted are unlimited; however, ideas must meet at least one of the following criteria:

Boost the Bottom Line
• Increase income
• Cut costs

Find a Better Way
• Streamline a complex process
• Increase productivity
• Enhance the member experience

As project manager and on-going administrator of the Big Idea program for LMCU, I look forward to sharing the success of this program going forward.
