Midwest #11: Dustin Limburg

Dustin Limburg is a 26-year-old Marketing Representative for Student Lending with Wright-Patt Credit Union ($1.85B) in Fairborn, Ohio.

Synopsis: Wright-Patt Credit Union is a founding credit union of an exciting new initiative called Ohio Student Choice, a growing collaborative effort made up of leading Ohio credit unions. Through Ohio Student Choice, Wright-Patt Credit Union pledged over $53 million in student lending over the next three years. The collaborative unveiled the initiative and committed over $150 million to student lending for Ohio college students in May.

Through this powerful initiative, Wright-Patt will reach students that deserve a better way to pay for college.  Wright-Patt has always followed the fair value approach to lending, which means educating the community about the important steps that need to be taken before considering a private student loan. Wright-Patt always encourages free and cheap money like scholarships, grants and federal loans be taken before any alternative option is considered.

Through my work with Ohio Student Choice and in my role as Marketing Representative for Student Lending, my goal is to positively impact the student lending industry by changing the way that students view funding their college education. Winning the Next Top Credit Union Exec will allow me to positively impact our members and our community.
