When 2011 Next Top Credit Union Exec winner Devin Selte challenged executives in attendance and those watching online to nominate a young leader for the 2012 challenge, we’re sure he never expected this response.
For the last three years, we’ve received an average of 112 nominees - great numbers to be sure! This year, however, the nominations came in at a record number. We had 201 individual nominations (not including those that were nominated by more than one person).
201 young credit union leaders know that someone in their organization or professional network thinks enough of them and their potential to nominate them for the pre-eminent credit union young professionals competition. That in itself has to be a great feeling. But wait, there’s more! Each of those nominees are eligible to apply for the contest by simply completing an application form and submitting a short video and blog post about a project they are working on, or an idea they have to improve the credit union industry.
Just by applying, they will receive a free one-year CUES NextGen Membership or a $99 credit towards other CUES products and services. When they apply, they also earn the attention of the credit union world, and bring focus to their creative ideas and thoughts. And as an Applicant, they will also earn special pricing if they wish to attend the CEO/Executive Team Network conference on their own.
