Credit Union Building On Helping the Community
One of my personal goals as well as the goal for the credit union is to capitalize on the credit union mantra of "People Helping People". We have been partnering with Comitis Crisis Center to help the homeless get back on their feet. The crisis center is right in our backyard and we strive to make a difference in their lives.
Another initiative that we've been a part of has been the Hispanic Outreach. We have been working with consultants for the past two years to learn more about the culture and ways to attract and help this audience. Our goal is to inform the community about our products and services and to help people avoid predatory lenders.
We would like to let the community know that we're here to help. Whether it's by providing free financial literacy, offering products and services to allow members get back on their feet financially and build credit, or simply be there for every stage of life, we want to be there for our neighbors.
